trunk lid for a 84 cougar

i need a trunk lid for my 84 cougar because my bro decided he was gonna drill out and beat on my trunk lock to get in. so i need a lid i don't care bout color no dents surface rust only and all parts have to be on and working and have the key for the trunk. thanx i need to know how mutch and how mutch to shiznit it thanx again! pix to come soon.

So if he just beat out the lock shouldn't you just be able to get a new lock? Or did he royally f$%k up the spot where it sits in to during his "locksmith" process?

OK, You live in NY so....
1) Who is the car Registered to according to DMV records?
2) Does your brother live with you?
3) Exactly how long ago did this happen?
4) How far are you willing to go to legally penalize your brother for this action?
5) How do you know it was him? Did you see him do it? Will he admit to it?

its not registered as of yet legal adress is here but he is never home it happened last night far as i can take it or make him pay for the damages my father told me he tryed to get in but didn't know he caused damage and he is a pathilogical liar so he won't admit to nothing.

As far as the fix I agree with Cougarman. You can straighten that out enough to put a new lock in there. Your Dad saw him do it? If so you can call your local police and let them know about a prior Domestic Incident that occured. You would need your father to say that he saw your brother do this damage for the report. As far as pressing charges since the car is not registered then it would go by whose name is on the title. That person would have to want to press charges and to do so they would need a SWORN STATEMENT from Dad stating he witnessed the event. Like I said before. Do you really want to go that route? I'm not trying to talk you out of it, however for this particular case it seems that it would be a lot of work AND sometimes these things do cause a grudge within the family.
I would at the very least have the police fill out a Domestic Incident report.

I'd advise against taking legal actions against a family member. Family's more important then law, to me at least. The last thing I'd do is call the police on a family member. I would kick the living shiznit out of him and make him pay to get the damages fixed.

yeah and the local police are friends with this family so i prolly could make it work but i whant him to pay for the damages. but i know he will never fork over the cash so im stuck paying it myself again! and he has stolen a system from me before thats why the back seat is all bent to hell.

I would just straighten it back out, and install a new lock. Autozone has new ones :D . I don't know what wiring would be involved in installing a power trunk popper??

or maybe get a whole new locking mechignisum with lock on it and the key off of a 84 and if u have one or anyone elts ill gladly pay what i need for it but also im sure i can bend all that metal back but glad there is no warpage from when he put the heat on the lock itself trying to cut it out. also he has never had any respect for my property and all so he has no respect from me at all anymore and this isn't the first time this has happened.
