Dying in Idle, rough driving... HELP! Reply #15 – August 07, 2008, 04:00:41 PM can anyone tell me how to check or clean the crankcase PCV filter? or if i need to bother? I can barely reach the thing, let alone get at it enough to possible pull it out and replace it... i assume it needs to be replaced, since it looks pretty nasty in there, but don't know how to pull it out... Dying in Idle, rough driving... HELP! Reply #18 – August 07, 2008, 11:08:42 PM well, got everything back together, new EGR, new EVP, all new gaskets from upper intake to throttle body... and it still dies at start up, and idle's up and down, and pretty much runs exactly the same and sucks terribly... any more thoughts? Dying in Idle, rough driving... HELP! Reply #19 – August 11, 2008, 10:10:10 PM update, in case anyone was still paying attention...Had a mechanic friend of mine from church come by and take a look at the Cat, and he recommended I change out the MAP sensor, since that was just about the only thing in the air system that had not been changed. changed that out, fixed the problem. Cat's back up and running! Quote Selected
