piest car that you have owned....

Well, sounds weird, but for me is the cougar !

Can select the "1" because the transmission linkage is set incorrectly (other son of a......mechanic).

Both windows wont work....and i use them frecuently....

  Power locks wont work....

You can enter on the car only for the driver side.

  Has rust......hidden rust....

When rains, is better to get an umbrella INSIDE the car.....

And some stuff that i dont want to tell you because its a shame....

1980 Toyota Corolla, $100.. bought from, and eventually returned to, the junkyard I worked for at the time. I don't even remember what was wrong with it, just that it was definitely a $100 car.

1986 thunderbird  :sorry:

$100 car, windows didnt work, radiator emptied within 10 minutes (but that didnt stop me from driving muh hahahah!!!!  :flame:  )  only the front driver side brake worked, had to manually shift from 1st, 2nd, drive, when driven over a puddle the water splashed right thru the carpet onto you, speedo rarely worked as well as windshield wipers, blareing the radio with the headlights on and braking would cause the car to stall out, hood flew off one day ( was doing 65 and the  thing just whipped back and smahed against the winshield then flew off like 80 feet in the air, was pretty funny yet i shat myself), other minor problems that were a real annoyance

oh yea, it was REALLY REALLY GOD FORSAKEN SLOW
and only managed a record 12 mpg

The worst car I've ever owned was also the most expensive. '91 T-Bird V6 (bought in '93). The first part to go was the upper ball joint. $300. Then the other upper ball joint. Another $300. Then the stabilizer links. $70 apiece. Then the rear shocks, but they were fairly cheap at about $30 apiece. Then the ignition switch caught fire, which left me stranded 500 miles from home for two days. Then the head gasket blew on my way to my employer's Christmas party. Then the #4 rod bearing spun eight months later. Then the body rotted away. All within two years, and this car was exceptionally well taken care of. Because of it I'll never own another MN12.

A close runner-up was my first Cherokee. It was an '87 4WD with the 2.5 4-cyl and an automatic with overdrive. And about 400,000 km. It had about 8PSI compression on all four cylinders, would soak an air filter with oil after about 5 miles' driving, and had a top speed of 50 MPH. And it got about 5 MPG. I could not believe that thing could suck the fuel through those 3/8" lines that fast, and I was amazed it didn't hydraulic lock with the amount of fuel that had to have been in the cylinders. The last going off it would suck all the tranny fluid into the engine through a bad modulator valve whenever you went up a hill. Needless to say there were some mighty smoke clouds in my wake :D

1980 Ford Fairmont I6 a.k.a. : The shaggin wagon! Got it for free (first car!) When I first got it, all the tires were mismatched, filled with plugs and fix-a-flat (bought 4 new ones), and it had a bad starter (replaced). It had monophonic (as is one speaker) sound via an AM radio with FM transceiver, the rear hatch had to be held up with a stick. The tranmission leaked (fixed that), gas tank leaked (fixed that too), and when you started it, you had to do it ten minutes b4 going anywhere because that how long it took to warm up and keep it from stalling out. This required you  place a stick between the gas pedal and the front seat to keep it revved. The gas gauge didn't work, the brakes were always mushy, and even went out on me while driving home one winter night with friends in the car. Also had bad springs, shocks and struts, the exhuast was a patchwork quilt (fixed new from cats back). Body wise it was primer grey/pink rusty red, and had a huge dent in the  rear quarter panel from when it got hit back in the early 90's. The best feature I think it had was the built in sun-floor, always got my feet and socks and such wet when I drove over puddles! I never drove it over 70 ever, (too scared!). Actually only had it on the highway once in the year I owned it and swore never too do it again. All in all, when everything was said and done, I think I ended up putting a grand into it in a year. But looking back on it, I think it was a lesson well learned. I hated that car a lot while I owned it, but looking back now it was really fun while it lasted! Oh, when I finally dropped it off at the junkyard it had only a few ticks over 150k on the odometer!

1995 Grand Am. Brakes, Shocks, Struts, Tires, seems to become monthly expenses. Not to mention i paid waaaaaaay to much for that car. $12k. Everything seemed to break twice on that car. Got to the point where i had to pick repairs over the car note. Could of kissed the repoguy when he towed it away. Only owed $1300... i could of cared less. Tis why i hate FWD, 90s-up, Transversly Mounted, cheaply mass produced, cars. Only good thing about that car was the exhaust and the engine never quit. All the way up to 220K. ^_^

Both my Cougars. Then again I've only owned 3 cars, and both of those cougars are higher mileage.

I would have to say my 1980 t-bird has required more maintenance and repairs than any other vehicle but i have also never owned a car near as long as i've owned it or put more miles on any other vehicle sooo.... yeah whatever that means :hick: The best car I ever owned would have to be my 1987 hyundai stellar (386000km) beat the snot out of it, learned how to drive standard on it (by myself) and it just begged for more. Its the only car I actually regret getting rid of :disappoin

Probably the 1990 Cavalier I bought for $200.  Got decent gas mileage and stood up to my daily intentional abuse, but man, what a cheapy made piece of .  I'd buy another one for a beater if they weren't so small... I'd hate to get in a wreck with one.

1988 Chevy Nova, aka "supernova".  That thing sucked.  It was free though, so the only money spent on it was gas.  I think rusted fenders came standard from the factory.

1974 Vega station wagon.... Had Bondo in the top it was so rusty, bad part is I don't remember(goin through a divorce) why I bought it or what I did with it. Oh yea... I bought it because it was hot and it had air cond, but found out the aluminum block motor was so bad it didn't have enough power to run the A/C unless it was over 40 mph!! It also got a miserable 12 mpg... Still not sure what I did with it....

That would have to be my wife's old 92 Chevy Corsica.  Lets see 3 years, 6 alternators, 1 computer, 1 electric fan, 1 electric fan switch, thermostat, radiator, and when I got rid of it at 101,ooo miles the transmission was starting to slip from 2nd to third and she sprung a head gasket leak.  Upon looking at it you would never suspect it was a money/time pit.

Easy, the '86 Camaro. it's easier to list the positives about that car than the negatives, it did have a straight body, that's about it.
