Just depends on what kind of gaming experience you want. I was a loyal PS fan until the PS3. Their overall library just does not interest me. The main reasons I wanted a PS3 was for Final Fantasy (which is now being released for the 360, thank goodness), MGS, and Grand Turismo. I could care less about Blue-Ray as I don't have a true HDTV setup. Although I do have my 360 connected to my 22" WS monitor... HD was just not a selling point for me.
Most of my friends/family have a 360 so it was a no-brainer to me. Who wants to be the odd man out? I only know two people with PS3s and they really don't play them anymore. XBL is awesome. I do agree the $100 wireless adapter is ridiculous. Which is why I haven't bought one. As is the 120GB HD that I will need to purchase soon, 20GB is nowhere near enough space for downloading content from XBL. Good thing they are phasing those out for the 60GB model. I find myself deleting stuff all the time. I do like the streaming movies idea coming from Netflix this fall. Downloading a 5GB movie can take some time. I seriously hate the MS Points system though. And it took me awhile to get used to the 360 controller. The PS controller is just natural to me.
If Blue-Ray is a concern, I would go with the PS3. If playing online is a concern, 360. If console specific games are a concern, go with that console. If the games you want are for both consoles... 360. Good luck to ya. :):)
