1997 3.8L Cougar Catback?

So i don't exactly remember where I read or heard this, but apparently this catback from Dynomax

can be fitted onto a 3.8L 97 Cougar XR-7. Anyone have any experiance with catbacks on a 3.8L MN12? Also, if you know of any catbacks which claim to bolt on to a 3.8 let me know, I've had no luck in finding them.

Another thing I've heard is that an exhaust system that fits on a 94-98 3.8L V6 Mustang fits on a 97 3.8L Cougar. Doesn't quite sound right to me, but do let me know if there is any truth in that.

Never tried the cat back but you can probably get one made cheaper at a local exhaust shop.

The Mustang exhaust will not fit your car as it has a different chasies.

Also any exhaust mod to a 3.8 might, might get you 10 hp. Don't expect it to be a monster after the exhaust is done.....

I'm not really looking for a power increase so much as something to replace the tastic glasspack my car came with, plus something that sounds a bit better than the stock exhaust

The best sounding exhaust for a 3.8 is the stock exhaust, nice and quiet :P

My old neighbor had an MN12 cougar that Im gonna guess he cut the ler off of. It was gross.

Yeah, having a glasspack is practically not having a ler, its pretty bad, but I would like the old cat to have a little bit of a deep roar if you know what i mean :-P
I'll be getting it in a week or 2, then have a shop i know try to hook it up. Will post an update for anyone who may be curious
