Possibly for the customer "after the sale", but even in the '80s, it was illegal to sell a new car with a non emissions certified engine(which the HO was not in a Bird)... Quote Selected

Thats what he told me at least and he said gas stunk due to the automatic and H.O. engine combo. Quote Selected
