my bird had a 2" spacer, but those mechanical fans suck so much power! my motor would barely rev. stick with a clutch fan, or buy an electric one at a junkyard for around $25.

make sure you check your water pump rotation. reverse w/p uses a different fan than regular w/p

go with a factory electric fan (taurus, mn-12 tbird, markviii) with a good controler like dccontrol fk-35 and it will never give you trouble. I say a factory one because they could be had in any u-pull-it lot for under $20 and if you ever need a motor you can goto any autoparts store and get one.

I was planning on buying their clutch (flex-a-lite) and the 1300 series fan. The 1 they say at high rpm's it flattens out to create less drag. You guys saying their mech fans are no good. Oh and it is a "2" inch spacer i need 2 do the swap? My car has the reverse rotation.
