car's back from the shop, time to start the interior

Suspension is welded .. except for what they forgot to do .. the rear IRS pads  :punchballs:

Drove it home from the shop yesterday.  That was an adventure.  No interior, 1/2 an exhaust, no a/c registers, a persnickety engine and lots of new sounds make for an interesting ride on a warm sunny afternoon.  The motor is leaking oil, probably the VC gasket, and there's a little bit of white smoke so the HG is probably heading south as well. That's okay, just so long as it holds together until the new motor is ready.

Looks like my brake problem was a sticking caliper and just needed to be driven.  That's one down.

Motor wouldn't idle worth a .  After pulling the brake booster, I plugged the vacuum port with one of those rubber caps.  Turns out that those don't stay put on a boosted motor (woops).  A zip tie seems to work okay (at least, up to 20psi).

Man, that's looking nice.  It's gonna be an awesome ride when it's finished.

Thanks guys.  There's lots left to do but it's getting close enough that I can actually see the end in sight.
