hey everybody, just figured i'd make my first post and say hello, here awhile back i bought an 88 LS cougar,for $400 bucks, had a bad headgasket. Its nothing special, its black with the gaudiest porno red interior you can imagine. its a 3.8 V-6, of course i didnt buy it for performance i bought it for gas mileage, because my F-150 gets about 15 mpg. this is going to be my driving to work car. I also have a 84 mustang GT with about 3k in the motor, she runs 14.1's without catching traction,but i blew up the rearend at the track back in april, waiting on my 3.73 gears for the 8.8

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

Welcome to the place.... there is a lot of information here... many of these guys know what they are talking about.

I think you are the first person I have ever heard of buying one of these cars for the gas mileage! lol  too cool.

actually my neighbor had a 87-88 T-bird sport coupe 5.0, someone busted out both windows and he sold it real cheap to his gf's dad, it was a nice car but he neglected it. i know where two turbocoupes are and one 89-90 cougar XR-7 supercharged is but that one isint for sale :(

hahaha thanks, i'm sure i could find some more oklahoma people. You dont see many fox T birds or cougars anymore, i see one everyday on the way home from work, looks like an 87-88 T bird.
