EEC-IV Spark Plug Wires

Okay, the more I am learning about this car the less I know.  Trying to order spark plug wires, preferably the Ford factory replacements.  A simple task I thought, but a couple of the sites I have search on list wires for a EEC-IV with and EEC-IV without.  How do I know if I have this EEC (electronic engine control)?  By the way I have a 1987 Base model TBird with 3.8L.

I guess the real question is, does it matter?  Why would it matter if I have the EEC-IV when it comes to installing plug wires?

Look at a set of Ford Racing wires from Jeg's or Summit Racing, but any quality wire should be fine...

Almost all Ford vehicles from '86 till '94/'95 have EEC IV... Only exceptions I can think of were, a few '86 Canadian models and all 5.8 police engines...
