New shop toy Reply #4 – June 26, 2008, 07:28:45 PM Those SATA guns are top of the line. They cost around $400-$500 for one. Yes that is a HVLP paint gun. They get serious about it. Quote Selected

New shop toy Reply #9 – June 26, 2008, 10:32:29 PM I thought about a $100 gun, but I was talkin to some bodyshop guys and they said you get what you pay for.I do a lot of custom cabinets for work and need something for stains, dyes and clearcoat. overspray is brutal to get off finished trim and moulding. Here's a sample of what I doHere they are after they're dyedFinished cabinet doorsthey need to be sanded and sprayed again. New shop toy Reply #14 – June 26, 2008, 11:28:46 PM What are you doing with the stairs? Looks like they're sanded down, do you know what the treads are made of? Did they use oak for those too? Just wondering because I've been building stairs for the past 6 months and once I see a stair, any kind of stair I'm usually interested. Also the greatest thing about building stairs is the amount of puns you can come up with. Quote Selected
