Eric will not be happy:hick: ....He missed a Carlisle where -- get this --  IT DID NOT RAIN!  We passed through some fog whil leaving Brooklyn, but other than that it was good.  I even made it on the trip home without rain!  5 minutes after I pulled the car into the garage we had hail!  Got real lucky with that!

Enjoy the pics;)

**EDIT**  Here's the link to the gallery..... apparently you can't hotlink for some reason.

See what happens when I skip a year! Meh, I enjoyed saving a ton of money this year by not going, no regrets. Glad you had fun.

Went to the 1/8th mile track.....BONED both runs HARD!!!!

The car is deffinetly capable of low 12's in a 1/4, but a 2.6 60' on 36 PSI tires
isn't good!!! Second was a 9.2 with a 2.6 60', let off about 30 feet early too. They moved the start/stop lines from last year.....Guess which one I zeroed in on? Like I said total bonejob on both....Even lifting my trap was 81.91 MPH.....THAT impressed me.....Reaction time was a +.294 with a VERY shallow stage...Held it @ 1500 till the 3rd yellow gave it half throttle and roasted hard, let up a little, eased into about 3/4 throttle till 2nd then mashed it and let off early.

What can I say....I hadn't even checked into the hotel yet and didn't have a tire guage to drop the pressure so I figured what the hell....I'm already here....Truly a run what you brung!

That was the second run! The first was even worse...
Let's put it this way I'm really pissed at the guy in the box....It is impossible to drive around it the way the track was setup and after screaming that I didn't want any water, he threw it right down. Had to get out of the run 100' from the line and came to a  near dead stop......got back in it and actually pulled a win against the bone stock '82 Country Squire I lined up next to I was in TOTAL shock considering the 12 seconds it took.  That 60' was in the 2.2 range spinning HARD.

3 weeks from now is Street Wars in Atco....I'm there with SLICKS!

Nice pics, sounded like a good time. My son went with my dad in the 04 Bird, said it was high 90's on Sat, usually when I go it rains so I guess Eric and I will need to figure out which one of us is causing the rain.

Nice times on the stang and thanks for the pics i gotta ask you a ? how much is the stock gauge cluster worth i found a company that makes a plug in one for like $160 i was thinking you could swap them out and sell the stock set-up for more and then use that for parts money. Not for you but maybe for my friend or me if i buy a new stang in the next few years.

Looks kind of nice for the price.

Hey Paul, noticed you're lacking pics of my car!

Did you take those Sunday?

And BTW, this sunburn has been big time painful!
It's Gumby's fault.

Most of the pics were Friday and Saturday morning.....  I took about 10 on Sunday and then the camera battery went kaput!  I have about 35 other photos, but I'm not very impressed with how they came out.....

I DO have one pic you'll all enjoy......

Remember this Bird from last year?

This thing's awesome. I saw it on the dyno in '04 or '06.

Found a '64 that is nearly identical to mine. Just missing the Wimbledon White top.

Was that the one with the touch up spot on the trunk?  That car had ZERO rust on it.

Great pictures.

I was the guy running the staging lanes at the track (1st time ever). Wish I knew that you were there just to meet you in person to put a face with a name. The track was bought by Stanley Dye in November last year. He changed the trak name from South Mountain to Quarter Aces. We did a lot of work over the winter. This was only the 3rd event for this season (first 2 were normal Sunday events). The staring line was dug up, moved toward the road 60 feet, leveled, and poured (of concrete). The starting lights (tree) is updated and run by compueter system. There were more speakers added, updated electrial service, more parking in the pits, etc... There are more improvements planned to happen after the seasons ends. They were happy with the turn out of fans & cars from Friday night's event. It was a shame that were ran out of time to finish the king of the hill race. There were a lot of nice cars that were racing. Sorry to hear that they threw water out when you did not want it.

Found that out after the second run  :hick:  I let out early and the guy I had a couple car lengths on took the win.  I STILL trapped @ almost 82 with a horrendous 60'.  I actually was still spinning a little just before I went into 2nd.....Too much tire pressure, not enough tire.  Oh well.

I'm bringing the car for another dynorun tomorrow.  I might be getting a tune done by Job Spetter down the line....in conjunction with an intercooler and 4 more pounds of boost!  Just want to see just how rich I'm running right now first.  The dyno in Carlisle said 11.1 A/F  gonna try and get that to 11.8 or so.

Are you in any of the pics?

I didn't notice any touch up spots but then again I really didn't look.
