No locking your keys in the car Reply #15 – June 10, 2008, 11:30:16 AM I believe i see one flaw,,,,the key reminder switch is a "one wire" switch. I do not think there is a ground wire meaning the chassis of the switch provides the ground. If thats the case, s this idea. there would be no way to wire out the door switch if this is the case. No locking your keys in the car Reply #18 – June 14, 2008, 07:50:18 PM I know my '91 Maxima had it and it worked great, but it also had keypads on both front doors so I never really had to use it. Quote Selected

Thats why i asked, plus since im not in the column often, i recall a single back wire near the key tumbler.i almost said,, aww ,, then thishiznit me.This circuit should auto unlock the doors just fine.locate the wire coming off the key reminder in the column and cut it.extend both ends up to the new door switch and done.sounds like a 5 dollar upgrade to me. No locking your keys in the car Reply #20 – June 15, 2008, 12:10:52 PM the reason for the added door switch is because the existing one passes power through it, the new door switch will supply a ground path. Quote Selected
