What the **** kind of morbid news do you american's have to even show an "in action" picture like that? I mean, It's bad that it happened but to actually show it? that's a whole different level of messed up.

i dont want to sound hypocritical, and we ALL know someone or have drank and drove...but face it, a human life, (and maybe your own) is NOT worth it...call a cab, a friend, or have a DD.

I'm going to become a father this fall, and the thought that someone under the influence could take that all away really me off.

This is gonna go off topic for a sec, but I've changed a lot of things in my life, I don't drink very much anymore, let alone drive after.
I always wear my seatbelt now, and just try to take a few less risks.
Cut way down on my soda, I feel better than I have in a long time...because I want to see my child grow up.

My point: someone under the influence of alcohol or whatever could take everything away from any of us..be smart.

That's not the worst.....

On 9/11, Live TV footage was shown (and re-shown for a couple of days) of people jumping from the WTC towers in desparation to avoid death by smoke inhalation. These people were jumping from 50+ stories up.

No, unfortunately putting the fear into people has little to do with why the media publishes things like this. Fact is, it's what sells newspapers, and commercial time on TV. And that is money, pure and simple.

It's basically a version of rubbernecking, and we all do it. When people see car accidents they always stare at the wreckage (and sometimes, bodies). The more smashed up the cars involved, the better. Humans are kinda sick like that...

then reality kicks in and it really doesnt matter i guess.

Ive seen enough death to suit me for a life time. The problem with the pic is that one of those in the photo is the dead guy.

As for the twin towers,, I really think the media was in the serious wrong for showing that. These things people should never experience as "addional information" unless they have no choice in the matter.

remember the morbidity when it's someone you know...

quit bitching and whining about whatever it is that has all your panties wadded up..and realize that on saturday night cable you can see simulated violence nearly as bad as that pic
..yeah...it's made in a hollywood basp00get, but it doesn't mean some 8 year old wouldn't be scared by it all the same.

take it as i think it was intended....as a lesson not to drink and drive!
