'85 Turbo Coupe at my mercy....

I got a call from a couple who s cars for a living,and said they have an '85 Thunderbird.I asked which engine,they didn't know.They said it had a floor shifter and fog lights....Turbo Coupe !!! Anyway,they want to s the body (sorry),and I can have what i want to sell as long as they get half.Fine with me.The fog lights are broken and the inner seatbelts are bad.It is an auto equipped car with red interior.It has a manual seat track (I was told all of this after I asked a lot of questions).If anyone needs or wants anything,list it here,and I'll do what I can Wednesday morning.They also got an Eddie Bauer Explorer.I'm hoping it has a 5.0 !!!!!!!!! I'll be having those heads and intake for sure.......IF it has the 5.0.

Vinnie: Do the 85's have the same interior door panels as an 88? I'm looking for unbroken red map pockets. If they aren't in really good shape, forget about it.

1988 T/C body with a 5.0 transplant. Motor has a Vortech V-2 supercharger, Edlebrock Performer RPM II intake, heads, FRPP F-303 cam, Comp Cams roller rockers, Power Pipe, LMAF, full Mac exhaust, lowered, Koni's, 5 lug conversion, Cobra wheels, 13" Cobra brakes, etc.
SOLD September 2020. Will miss this car after 19 years of building/driving/showing it off. Time for a new chapter in my life.
Dynoed 446 horse/409 torque at the wheels.
2003 Tenth Anniversary Cobra Convertible. 1 of 369 Torch Red made.
2021 Chevrolet 3500 dually, crew cab Duramax.

Believe me,if it's usable,and I can remove it,it's coming with me......as long as it can fit in the trunk of the Sport.Even if it has to hang out,like the TC bumper cover.I'll post here tomorrow with the findings.My hopes are more with the Explorer than the TC.I want the heads and intake.....if it's a 5.0.Otherwise,who cares.LOL.

It wouldn't happen to have 10 holes with T-bird centers would it? If so I might be interested but shipping would probably be :nannerbang:  high.
88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Vinnie, will you check the metal trim piece for the right taillight?  If it's dent free, I'd be interested in it.  And I'll stand in line behind Thunderjet on those 10-holes.

Actually,it does have 10 holes with the caps.I'd guess about $225.00 for the wheels and caps shipped.I know it seems high,but wheels are a be-yotch to deal with.I'm usually pretty cheap on parts,but.........

I'll be pulling the taillights.The 10 holes are probably going to be around $225 shipped.with the caps.I'll have a detailed list when i get home.I woke up to rain this fine car parts pulling morning,and it's slowly going east of us here.When it's done raining,I'll be there with the trusty tool box.Stay tuned for the REST of the story.

For 1985 For Thunderbird Base - Canyon Red


Door lock switches - right and left

Seat belts next to seats - red preferred, but can dye. Good shape of course.

Door trim piece, please refer to attched picture. Red preferred, but can dye. Both sides if available.

Need "plastic & brush" piece missing from behind inside door handle too.

O.K.,here's the scoop..........

The car had manual door locks,and manual seats.The map pockets and most of the interior is bad.The fog lights were smashed up,the front bumper cover was .The ten holes actually look really nice.It has a 7.5 trear with quad shocks.I'll pull those later.I pulled the following parts....

-headlight and fog light switches
-full length red console
-steering wheel
-"turbo" valve cover
-IAC
-taillights
-Manual driver side seat track
-above the stereo cubby

Is it a floor shift auto?  I'd like to change my car from a column shift to a floor shift, but I'm not sure of everything that's needed.

The TC shifter is different then the V-8 shifter.You need one from a V-8 car,along with the right shift cable and bracket.

Check around the classifieds.I think there's a post by Kitz that has one for sell.If I'm wrong,keep looking,there was someone who had two of them.Cheap also.Those can be expensive as they are becoming really hard to find.
