Not to doubt, but why would you by a 2K standalone?

I disagree on the head "O" ring for only 10 lbs of boost.

I have guys running 12 plus LBS of booost with a Felpro 1011-1 head gasket

Yes, but is it as powerful as that one kid's TT Supra motor he's putting in his Cougar?  :mullet:

I bought the stand alone so I don’t have to pay for a tune every time I want to make a change. I am not sure the exact cost of a tune but this is better than any chip plus when I tune it I know every setting and I am not depending on somebody else to tune it. I do everything myself. I used to have an Anderson PMS piggy back system but was not the ideal system for tuning an engine. For me it was a toss up between FAST Engine Management system and the AEM and after a recommendation from Mike at http://www.toohighpsi.com I bought the AEM and have not regretted it yet. It has a ton of features from boost control to traction control to data logging. As far as o-ring the heads it probably would not have needed to be done but the surface finish on the deck of the block was not the greatest so this was the only solution to my head gasket problem with out remachining the block. When this block lets go I plan to go for a 351 so I am not going to remachine the block or rebuild the engine.

K, I was just curious.

Sound good. Haven't have much dealing with an AEM. What was
the advagtes of the AEM? I've tuned a couple FAST cars.
I agree completly about the PMS. THey are very difficult to get
any drivablity out of them.
Work well WOT but that is the only time.

From what I gathered the AEM is almost identical to the FAST system but the AEM comes with all features were as the FAST system charges more for additional features such as datalogging. The best part is that the AEM was plug n play into my existing harness but the FAST system needed to be rewired from scratch. I see you have an SCT banner on your car. I have heard good things about them. I saw a twin turbo ford gt making 1000 hp that was tuned with SCT. They are just a chip right? What is needed to burn your own chips so you dont have to pay for a tune?
