Ok since I have bought my car the check engine light has come on. I start the car, it goes into high idle for about 5 seconds, then the idle drops, light comes on and it trys to stall. I know I need to pull codes bu Im just getting ideas.
Now the weird part. The car would barly turn over, like the battery was dead, played with the cables and nothing, hook the trickle charger on it, and 2 mins later it turns over like its a brand new battery. Car runs freaking GREAT, goes right into high idle for about 10-15 seconds, then drops the idle to about 950, and the check engine light stays off. So im baffled, pull the charger off, same, drive the car along the yard a little, then all of a sudden, light comes on, and the idle drops a little, but its been running so doesnt try to stall. turned it off then back on, back to the way it used to act. I'm thinking the charging system has a hand in this, cause the battery has sucked it always dies, and im sure the alt is shizniting the bed, so i'm going 3g. I took it out quick in the rain today for my buddys to show them what a V8 can do. So I pulled out the yard, then threw it in reverse, smashed the gas and roasted the tires  backwards. As soon as i lifted off the gas it died. I fired it back up, try to pull up, and it dies again. Fire it up AGAIN, throw it in drive at 2400 and floor it untill i get it back into the yard and it died again.  (did a SWEET burnout though)

Its done it since i got it, replaced the fuel lines, fuel filter, its a new gas tank, new plugs wires cap and rotor, cleaned the upper out egr and spacer, and the throttle body. I replaced a few vac lines, got one more thats bad I got to fix, but im not sure thats my problem. Anyone got any ideas?

Well IF you had a volt meter and knew how to use it, likely the problem wouldn't be all that hard to diagnose...

Why don't you just charge the battery, do a few more drop shifts and when the tranny spills it's guts, you can fix that...

ahhaha why should I charge the battery it fires right up
and let me guess you think I neutral droped it? Nope, I had to put it in gear at higher rpms, but I had my foot on the brake, punched it after it was in gear. And the AOD is temp, got a t-5 for it.
pulling the alt, and going 3g, getting a new battery, and throwing in a new IAC and then we will see were that gets me. Talked to a guy from FvC had 2 of the marks, one supercharged, so thats what he said, thats what I'm gonna do

If you're going through the trouble of all that, change those vacuum lines that are bad as well. The only time my CE light ever came on was when I had a few bad vacuum lines and my car did the same stuff yours is doing. As far as it stalling when you were showing off, you could have flooded it a bit. I've done that as well. Not saying this is the fix all, it's just a suggestion.

well ALT i know is going, car slowly dims as it idles, then the AMP light comes on until you rev it for a few mins, so that NEEDS done. Vacuum lines are half replaced, just have to get a section of bigger line, cause one line i bought wont fit, but no biggy. Im also pulling ALL the wire loom and checking ALL the hard plastic vacuum lines, and all the electrical connections. After that, im checking codes, and going from there. Prob gonna replace the IAC just to make sure this thing runs as good as it can.
Plus i have to replace the key switch now, snapped off inside the column today when I moved it to mow the lawn.....

Never have I seen a car that crops up so many new issues without it having been driven.....

Go through that hunk and find everything that's wrong with it, make a list, and fix it all!

If you had gave it a proper once over when you went to look at it, you most likely would have taken a walk......I know I would have.

O but I do drive it now! But just around my yard. These problems I would not have been able to see cause the car only could turn over not start because the gas tank was out of it. I am fixing everything. Every part of the brakes has been replaced along with the shocks, full tune up, power steering i got lots in this thing, and if he wouldnt have bullshiznited me I wouldnt have bought it. He assured me it only needed the tank installed and a brake line.....
