I can see having a bad head but only having one E7 to put on, whats the odds of that happening lol..Anyway for my old 302/306 combo I really enjoyed the hell out of the tfs-1 cam with the eddy heads and cobra intake. Nice idle and good powerband. For the E7 heads and HO intake I would just run a stock HO cam, why spend the cash for little hp gains and loss of drivability just not worth it in my opinion. You could take that money and get some nice headers, 3.55/3.73 gears or something to support future mods. Quote Selected
help on choosing a cam. Reply #6 – May 07, 2008, 08:20:47 PM it has a flat tappet cam,i think im going to save up for the intake and then some heads.im going to do a 5 lug conversion using a rear from a 94-98 mustang, and spindles from a 94-95 mustang cuz i know where one is. Quote Selected
help on choosing a cam. Reply #7 – May 07, 2008, 08:39:41 PM Oh my bad I thought 85 was a roller. Saving up and buying what you want the first time around is the best thing you can do. Less money and time wasted that way. Quote Selected

help on choosing a cam. Reply #9 – May 12, 2008, 02:21:48 AM First off if you're running 2 different heads how do we know that this conversion was in fact a true HO?Second, You're running a flat tappet block and cam which riases the question of your firing order....What is the firing order of this car? What computer are you running? Which injectors?Something's not adding up for your rich condition...a "small ass CFI cam" isn't the reason, at least not by itself. You have another issue. help on choosing a cam. Reply #10 – May 12, 2008, 07:25:31 PM Wrong cam/firing order with an ho eec.Not sure, but is the combustion chamber on both e5-e7 the same size???????That can definetly cause some issues due to different compression from one side of the engine to the other.I'd say start over and just get yourself a complete ho out of a wrecked stang for 500 bucks and don't waist your money on a flat tappet cfi block.By the time you buy a cam, timing chain and gaskets you might as well spend the 100-200 extra and get an engine that will run better and out perform your current setup. Do you know what computer is in the car? I'm willing to be that it is a standard output computer because the stock CFI cam uses the same firing order as the standard output 5.0. The High Output uses a different firing order. The reason you are running rich is most likely because of the computer, and the 19lbs injectors. If you put 14lbs injectors in it, it would probably run right.Tell us more about your conversion. Quote Selected

help on choosing a cam. Reply #13 – May 14, 2008, 07:31:42 AM if you're running the stock cam and the SO computer, then why are you running 19 pound injectors!? I assume you have no adjustable regulator as well....There is your problem. Quote Selected
