Help fast!! Idle is to high!!

I just put the brake lines in my car, and i had to have the car running to bleed them(did it myself that was fun), and once i start it it kicks out of cold idle, but now it idles at 1100!!! Its sucking down the gas, and i cant run the car cause its to  loud!! I want to take it for a quick spin, how do i get the  idle to drop!

any of those could be the problem, but its awfull weird for somehting like an IAC to suddenly start sticking. check the booster, vac tree and other things first if i were u. if that fails go down the list.

Well since its after I did the intake, my guess is now I have an effing vaccum leak since it also has a slight missing sound to it, and idled fine before I cleaned the IAC, and EGR. Just backed out the stop screw gopt it down a few hundred rpm, and took it for a ride!! Couldnt go far, neighborhood got mad at my open 2 1/2 h pipe hahahahah!

I had this same problem... The car would idle doing 45- 50 mph...  in drive..  My conclusion was a vac leak near the top of the engine near the master cylinder for the brakes.

Take the air cleaner hose off the throttle and put your hand over the throttle to try and block all air coming into the engine.  This should cause the leak to get very load and easier to find.

Keep in mind, he doesn't have a vacuum booster for the master cylinder. He has the same hydraulic booster setup that the 87-88 Turbo Coupe has.

I would try tracing each line and try to find some breaks. If you cant find breaks, unplug lines one by one from the manifold, and cap them, and see if it changes how it runs. This will help you pinpoint any vacuum leaks.

Also, don't rule out things like your upper-to-lower intake gasket. I don't care what anyone says, I put a very thin bead of permatex on any gasket that seals an air passage. I picked up 5mpg when I did that and use a little permatex on the O-rings for my fuel injectors.
It's Gumby's fault.

If it ran fine before the intake work my guess is a vac leak. When I did the HO upper swap onto my old SO I had the same problem.

I always do that too. I had a brand new Felpro one leak once.

Yep I put a bead on the gasket! I am wicked buttstuff about that shiznit, I put it on every gasket, except the EGR lead gasket.
I did pull the vac lines of the intake and one broke, I bought a line to replace it and it was the wrong size. Im gonna go buy new lines for all the regular rubber ones cause they all look like shiznit. Plus peel all the looms and check all the hard plastic ones, and re loom it all.
Found a new problem anyway.... amp light came on..... and I constantly have to charge the battery, I was praying but Its not use, time to get a 3g from the yard.
