1800w amp, 1.0F Cap, 2x10" Subs, + Box ready to BOLT INTO trunk of 87-88 cougar/tbird

Located in MA

Hi everybody,

I'm selling my subs that I took out of my 88 Cougar LS once I sold it.  This system fit on-top of the shelf-like area in the trunk against the back seat, bolted into the steel support frame on each side to secure/anti-theft it, and aligned perfectly to port the vent in the box through the arm rest and into the cabin of the car!

I don't know if this will bolt right into the trunk of an 86' or older... it might require new mounting holes to secure it in, and different alignment if you choose to port it through the armrest of the back seat...

Check out the pics of it as it sits now, and as it was installed.  I designed this system with security in mind because I wanted NO WAY for it to get stolen.  2 x 3/8" steel bolts hold this secure, and protect it from being ripped out.  It's very hard to get at the nuts on the other side of the supports that this attaches to so a theif using a normal wrench to un-bolt it is out of the question.  And a hack saw would take more than a half hour to cut through both bolts to get it out so that is out of the question also.

The amp is fastened on the top of the box, facing the rear shelf and is screwed in, and has 2 steel plates covering the top 2 screws on the amp to further secure it.  A theif would not be able to unsccrew the amp because a screwdriver is too tall and not at the right angle to fit up in there.

It's ready to bolt in, all you need to do it enlarge the small holes in the supports on the sides of the trunk with a 3/8" drill.

*Amplifier by Soundstorm, model # r800.2, 2 Channels, 800 watts max each channel, I currently have the channels bridged, and the voice coils wired in series, then the 2 subs as a whole wired in parllel.

*A ported enclosure by Subzone, vented in the center between the 2 subs, shaped sort of like a wedge, see pics below. Dimensions of box are: 34" wide, 10.5" on the bottom dimension of the depth, 13.5" on the "front" side with the subs on it, 15" on the top side with the amp mounted on it, and 8.5" on the back at the speaker connects.

* 2 Alpine 10" Type-R subs, 300 watts RMS 1000 watts Max each, dual voice coil 4ohm+4ohm.

*1 Farad Capacitor by Stinger.

Price is $500 o.b.o.  I am located in Massachusetts right near boston, and am willing to travel ~ 75 miles or more in any direction, I'm pretty flexible.

Please give me an email if you are interested, or have any more questions about the setup.

I would prefer not to ship it, as it weighs a ton! This box is very solid and is very heavy, not to mention the subs and amp. However if you would like it shipped, the buyer will cover the actual shipping costs.

Thanks!
