This little tidbit on the BBB site doesn't help either:

http://richmond.bbb.org/WWWRoot/Report.aspx?site=85&bbb=0603&firm=21013666

I wouldn't freak out just yet though......

JDM took almost 3 weeks to send my SCT X-Cal II tuner for my Mustang.

Let it ride for another 10 days or so, but call every other day for an order status.  Tell them it's a "gift" for someone or something like that to break the ice on the phone.  Getting people to let their guard down leads to information.  If you don't have it by the 25th I'd start to pitch a fit.  Contact the BBB @ that point.  Go through the link I provided.

Not saying this is the case with the OP (I didn't bother reading the links showing how py the company is), but my GOD people have gotten impatient over the last few years!!!

Whatever happened to the days when somebody ordered something through mail-order and was told "Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery", and they accepted that as a normal thing????

The internet is great, but it has turned everyone into impatient crybabies. Everyone expects that the moment they click "Buy now" the item will be spit out of their cd rom tray right into their lap. When ordering, people check "basic ground shipping" and ignore the "express shipping" option and still expect their parcel yesterday. They expect their hand to be held from the moment they press "buy now" to the moment their item arrives (and often beyond that).

It's called MAIL ORDER for a reason. If you want instant gratification go to Wal-Mart or Autozone. If you want to pinch a penny by buying online, be prepared to WAIT. There is a cost to saving that money, and that cost is time. If you're not prepared to accept that, back away from the keyboard and go to the mall.

April 4 - April 14?  My calendar says that's 10 days, but then I'm using a Gregorian since my abacus is broken.

Considering they didn't charge his account or claim to ship the item until the 7th, just how does the 4th, 5th, and 6th count? You order stuff online on Friday evening all you want, it won't make the business open over the weekend!!

People are impatient because they are being indoctrinated by Madison Ave et al that they can have and should expect unlimited instant gratification.  All it takes is money.  We're all going to be rock stars and date movie stars.

Have you seen that credit card commercial using Queen's I Want It All.  Maybe we should change our nat'l anthem to that?

What's the big deal?  If they don't ship it then do a chargeback, but you have to allow enough time and you haven't.  Some places are slow and that's just life, if you actually have to have it right away then you should've talked to them on the phone, otherwise you wait 3-4 weeks and if you still have no indication that it's shipped then you should probably do a chargeback and tell them to get a life.  Only M-F count for business days, I don't care if they're open on Saturday, they aren't going to do squat on Saturday most likely.  It says right in the email that they DID charge you at that point but DID NOT ship yet.  If you've tried emailing and calling repeatedly during the right business hours (time zones accounted for if they're pretty far away) then you'll have to decide if you want to deal with them or not.  The chargeback is probably an option as long as there's no proof of them shipping anything, but I'd really try to get a hold of them and explain.

No point in getting upset about info you learned after placing your order, that was your error for not researching the vendor, now you have to give them a fair chance and then tough out dealing with any difficulties.  You always have a way out but it hasn't been long enough yet to say.  Some places might be terrible at communicating but that doesn't mean they won't ship stuff out within a couple weeks.  You'll just have to wait and see.

For standard ground shipping 18 business days is exactly ONE day over UPS estimates. I still don't see why it's such a big deal.

So, whats different on the car?

Wheres your front plate?

Why did you actually make an effort to white out your rear plate?

I've often wondered why people do that. The plates on your car are visible to everyone that sees your car (indeed, you're required by law to show them), but people always blank them out when posting pics of their car on the internet. Like internet people are less trustworthy than everyone who lives within 100 or so miles of you (and thus are likely to see the numbers) or something.

20th anny 5.0: When was the item actually shipped? The shipping label should have a date on it - if not, it should have a bar code with a number that you can punch into UPS's website and it will tell you when it was shipped.

If you called to request a chargeback yesterday I can assure you it had absolutely nothing to do with your receiving the product today, it was just coincidence.

As for what's different on the Coug, I'm gonna guess headlight & tail light covers :hick:

Yeah I learned myself that exhaust shop exhaust generally sucks and doesnt last long.

And on the front plate, I got pulled over for just having it in the windshield. If you have a bracket for it I say just leave it on.
