OEM Fuel Lines Reply #15 – April 12, 2008, 03:36:38 PM Freeze the fitting, boil the line, and use bit of KY lube?Having a tube of KY in the garage might look strange, but it works great for stuff like this! Quote Selected
OEM Fuel Lines Reply #16 – April 12, 2008, 04:11:45 PM I'll go stick the fitting into the freezer right now. About how long *ideally* should the line be boiled?I had tried pastime to boil the line in water, and was at it for 15-20mins with no success. Quote Selected
OEM Fuel Lines Reply #17 – April 12, 2008, 04:39:56 PM I think water boils somewhere around 212 degrees or so.100 degrees is nice bath water. Quote Selected
OEM Fuel Lines Reply #18 – April 12, 2008, 05:18:27 PM Quote from: cougarXLS;213698Doesn't water boil at 100 degrees C? LOL Vinnie.... that's what my C was for. You're right.... for those south of the border... I will have to remember to convert 100 degrees Celsius = 212 degrees Fahrenheit But more to my question... is that enough? And for what duration? OEM Fuel Lines Reply #26 – April 15, 2008, 11:08:50 AM Well, I finally managed to merge the nylon with the plastic connectors, and guess what! I made one mistake to many, and the line wound up to short ! So, I buy some more nylon line... I finally manage to get it! Cougar X is going down the road again!!! As this thread is in the Marketplace and not technical support, there is method in my madness.... or madness to my method... I would still be curious if anyone has any OEM fuel lines. Thanks everybody for your help! Go Go! Quote Selected
