What do you think?

:birdsmily:

Just trying to get a feel for what the people here think the bird will run at the track.

This is the mod list:

Griggs GR-40 Front w/coilovers
Southside Machine Lift bars out rear
Stock PRCs, firm in the back
Full length subframe connectors

Stock Downpipe
2.5 Y
2.5 Flowmaster 40s
2.5 Mandrel bent tailpipes

K&N on the VAM
Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch kit
NGK's gapped at .32
Gillis Valve at 19Lbs
No Back Seat (Dont ask)

BFG Drag Radials out back (235/50/15)
21/50/15 fronts

I'd like to think I drive pretty good :)

So, what do you think in the 1/4?  Trap speed?  Lets hear it!

I'll post the results after my fist race day with it.

every single person is gonna tell you to lose the flowmasters, as they are bad turbo lers.

Yeah, I know.  But they sound pretty good.  I was going more for the sound factor at the time.

The car is actually a complete beast off the line, even on street tires.

The last little "Play" i had was against a 99 or so Dakota with the 4.7 HO in it.  Jumped a good car length on him right away, and then pulled away pretty quick from there.

I was surprised to find out that they had around 260 HP and 3 something torque.

15.5ish at 90MPH with a killer 60', maybe 2.0.

Hmm.  I'm hoping for a dip into the 14's, it feels that fast by the butt dynometer :)

It sure doesn't feel like the 15.8 or so notchback that i got to drive at GLD this past weekend :) Feels Much better.

You may be right though!

OOPS, forgot to add the 12* timing and a fresh tune up.  And the premium switch where it should be with a 1/4 tank mix of 110 and 93 for kicks.

Not enough power for 14's unless you're going to ATCO. You have a lot more tire/suspension then motor. It'll be quick for the mods/power if you know how to drive, but the MPH will be lucky to hit 90, which will keep you out of the 14's I think. Boosted engines have a nasty habit of "feeling" fast without "being" fast. Mid-15's isn't bad though, remember these things only do mid-hi 16's stock.

Very True.

I wonder where a gutted upper, a knife edged lower, a 3"DP and a t-3 at 25 would put me :hick:

I guess that mid 15's would be nice for now.  With a pretty stock motor that seems pretty good.  When I take it to GLD we can get some real numbers down, but I like to get an idea of where i am at now.

I'm going to get on the chassis dyno locally and get a baseline.  After that, I'll add things slowly and post results as I go.

Anybody else want to venture a guess?

Post what you think, and when I get some real numbers, I'll post them here.  I kind of want to see who is the closest :hick:
