maf sensor April 08, 2008, 12:58:06 AM i think the maf sensor on my 95 4.6 cougar may be out. will the one off my 93 3.8 work on it? i pulled it put from the intake tube to which it's mounted and both filaments are fine. Quote Selected

Try it and see, IF it runs OK and doesn't throw a code then it's prob OK...As I mentioned in the other thread, a 5.0 Stang meter will not work properly on a '95 4.6... It did at least run on that meter(till the weather got cold)... When the original failed, it would barely idle... In contrast, a MAF from a '96 4.9L E-250 Van works fine(with a connector change) on the '93 4.6 Grand Marquis... Guessing it possibly would have been OK on the Bird, but mounting is different and I didn't want to hack it up... Quote Selected
