Nascar Qualifying

Dunno if anyone is into nascar or has watched the qualifying friday for Nextel cup at Texas. Just thought id share this video with yall of rookie Michael McDowell's wreck on lap 2 of qualifying.

it was a NASTY hit and am glad and yet suprised how he walked away from that.

I didn't see qualifying but caught that on the news. That was a pretty incredible wreck and I'm impressed how well the car held up.

The only bad thing I've seen about the SAFER barrier is that it tends to "snag" the car- notice McDowell's spin after he head-on hit it?

Had it been concrete he woulda just slid right along it, but yes, it would have been a lot harder hit, and he would most likely have been hurt.

Good to see he walked away, even with all the safety stuff they have, that's still one hell of a hard lick he had..
