Toronto Motorsports Park opening day today Reply #2 – April 05, 2008, 12:48:15 PM well that was embarassing... although not as embarrassing as the 2000 Mustang GT that I beat... lolRan five runs, with the 4th being my best, on run five I switched sides and spun hard off the line... the track was unpreped and slippery even for my cougar. I only managed to run a 16.105 @84.95MPHWell at least I know have a baseline.... time to dig in and swap in a HO Quote Selected
Toronto Motorsports Park opening day today Reply #3 – April 05, 2008, 01:47:36 PM Almost as slow as my RX-7 :hick:What were your 60's? Quote Selected

Toronto Motorsports Park opening day today Reply #9 – April 19, 2008, 07:47:59 PM well that sucked.... the track was so well prepped, that the cougar dead hooked everytime and just bogged... poor Cat had a tough time trying to put some heat in them,,,Best run was only a 16.5 at 82MPH....Tha was way too embarrassing, but I did rock a "VTEC civic" by a full second. Time to start the HO/T5 swap VERY soon.... Quote Selected
Toronto Motorsports Park opening day today Reply #10 – April 21, 2008, 04:30:39 AM Went back to the track yesterday to try and improve my times... Entered the street eliminator class to see how many rounds I could go in the bracket class.first run the car could barely do a burnout, and only ran a 17.7 @77MPH!! WTF?!!? It was missing badly. Came back to the pits and check all plug wires, one was lose on the cap.... Problem fixed so I thought, but in the burnout box it had lost so much power that it couldnt even spin the tires.... "Oh, something is seriously wrong" I thought. So I called it a day before qualifing started, and headed home. I stopped along the way and tryied to do a burnout again, still barely able to do one. When I got home I decided to pull the plugs. This is what greeted me:BINGO there is my problem! so I wire wheeled them and threw them back in and flew back to the track to see if it was too late to get in on the action. It was but they let me Test and Tune. ran 3 16.3's @ 84MPH. Thats better! Going to get a set of 4.10's installed next weekend and run a short belt next saturday and see what happens. Quote Selected

Toronto Motorsports Park opening day today Reply #14 – April 21, 2008, 05:19:44 PM Quote from: P71;215013Why are you running plugs for a rotary in a 5.0?huh? :dunno: I dunno what you mean but they ARE 5.0L plugs... and if you are refering to the +4's... I am running them, because they have been dyno proven to add 6hp on a stock 302. Every little bit helps when you are dealing with the SO motor....Quote from: thunderjet302;215054Why are they so oil fouled?I guess that is a down side to the aftermarket (chinese :nannerbang: ) Cobra intakes. the baffles underneath the PCV Valve aren't big enough and the motor burns some oil because of it. Ford sells a repair baffle that I will be putting on it when I swap the HO into it. Quote Selected
