The timing of this announcement could have been, shall we say, a little better.Truth is, my dad isn't doing so well right now, health-wise. He wants to give the car to me and start helping me on it while he can. He feels sort of like a spare tire right now. While he's still mobile we're going to try to get as much done as possible. I hate to think of his deterioration while we're restoring this car, because that's probably all I'll remember later on, but he feels it's his legacy and I can't argue with that.Anyway...that's all personal stuff that I'll deal with. I *think* most people here know I inherited my Cougar from my dad, so I for one will vote go ahead and do whatEVER will make the stong bond between you and he that surely is already there, even stronger. I've definitely learned that "you don't know what you got 'til it's gone". And I spent LOTS of time with him and he tried to be with our family as much as possible and to have us do everything together, but I can't help sometimes feeling like I would do it even MORE if I could go back in time.
