anybody who knows alot about gt4 March 02, 2005, 01:50:29 PM im and guessing a certain dude will reply right away when he sees this whats the deal with the horsepower ratings? i buy a car, it says it has lets say..... 340 hp. then i look at it in my garage, says it has 345. then after a race, i watch the reply and it says 336 hp. what the heck are they doing? this is freaking me out. no matter where i go, each little section gives it a different rating. and even in the options menu when it shows a little picture of ut torque and hp, even THAT rating isnt the same as any of the others. anyone got any idea before i start to cry? Now as far as finding out which ones you got me, but I have heard say you got the computer and exhaust upgrades, in certain races mostly just in the beginning stages they will actually be removed without being saved. Then when the race starts it shows you that hp but when you go back to the main menu it is back to where you had it...***Now Im not absolutely positive this is where it comes from but just from my friends and I's own opinions from other discussions we have had... If you have racing tires on, and you enter a circuit that requires street tires, they will remove the racing tires, and prompt you about it. As far as hp upgrades, that isn't done automatically, since you can change all of that just prior to the race, and no options are restricted, (except the tires issue).If you play any of the prior versions, you'll notice the torque figures are almost always off by a decimal point. I haven't found that with GT4.EX.450hp 425ft/lbs = 450hp 42.5ft/lbs Quote Selected

Those things can run 8's after mods! Seems like the puppies shiznit can get all the power in the world were as the real muscle can't upgrade worth a shiznit.
