I take it that back then there were less ignorant-assed drivers on the roads?
If you blew through a stop sign and hit my car, I'd merely kick your ass.
If you blew through said stop sign, hit my car, and mashed my dog, I'd kick your ass...with my deer rifle. :D
Kinda cool, although I think nowadays the animal rights activists would probably collectively piss all their panties...
