Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #1 – March 01, 2005, 11:49:44 PM Also , how good are these and how much will they lower the car, the site doesnt really say! http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/showCustom-0/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2005865/c-10101/p-2005865/Ne-600003419/N-111+200728685+600003419/tf-Browse/sct-body/s-10101/th-StoreCatalogDisplay/ss-10101also how stiff are they..........coz i have a mistubishi mirage , lowered by 1.75 front and rear, stiff suspension....with kyb gr-2 shocks......so i was hoping to lower my t-bird just a little bit, not extreme like my mitsu....! :) Quote Selected
Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #2 – March 01, 2005, 11:51:16 PM Definatly do not use those. If you want to lower it you are going to lose the OEM ride quality no matter what you use. I would not trust that site. QuoteEngine Size: 8-cyl., Wheel Drive: FRONT WHEEL Quote Selected

Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #6 – March 02, 2005, 01:33:52 AM I wouldn't doubt the spring clamps. I agree it wasn't a good idea but... :hick: Yes I have used them before and they are still on my Tbird after about 7 years and no I did not go easy on it. They never broke either.I will drop the car about 1in or so and make it ride like a lumber truck. But it will tighten up the suspension. Quote Selected

Reply #7 – March 02, 2005, 08:58:53 AM Quote from: blackwidoware u talking regarding the adjusters or the springs....can u also elaborate on the quote "8 cyl....etc."....?thanksOn the JC whitney website it has Thunderbirds listed as front wheel drive and rear wheel drive. I personally would never buy anything from JC Whitney. If you are going to lower a car do it right and use actual springs, not clamps to compress the springs. Quote Selected
Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #8 – March 02, 2005, 09:14:37 AM Complete .Why would anyone even think that that would be the proper way to lower or raise a car?*sigh* Quote Selected
Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #9 – March 02, 2005, 03:29:19 PM Ok i think ill go for the srpings, but if i shouldnt go for the suspension techniques from jcwhitney's website then where can i get them from.....also how much does it lower the car by? is it about 1.5" front and back.....hows the ride quality, very stiff, soft?....i believe someone on the forums already had them and then removed them.....if im not wrong! wonder if it is any good! :) Quote Selected

Re: Spring adjusters any good? Reply #11 – March 03, 2005, 11:26:44 AM read cool cats... they are compleat and break and or fly off in about a week. i'v take'n springs off these cars about 3x so far and i would never want to keep them under compression with some pos like that for more than it takes to remove and uncompress it.
