To do it right, the shop will take the rear quarters from another car. That means from the rear of the doors to the brake lights. Then there are the subframes. If you really want to keep it, your only hope of getting realisitically getting it fixed is to find somebody that will cut you a lot of slack with the labor bill. You should think seriously about finding another car, park them side by side then start swapping parts. Quote Selected

would u fix it? Reply #33 – February 11, 2008, 09:23:07 PM If you're going to repair it, now would be good time to check with the local auto repair schools/colleges and volunteer your car for a class. Quote Selected

would u fix it? Reply #39 – February 12, 2008, 09:47:14 AM good luck you are gonna need it. but let this stick in you head of why you shouldn't drive your pride in joy in the snow and ice. fix the one you've got or swap over the parts, but when you get done get a pos to dirve on snowy days. i think about the countless times i didn't go any where just to make sure da bird was safe. would u fix it? Reply #42 – February 13, 2008, 03:20:10 PM believe me i know its tough to let go. my wife washiznit in the tc back in july and i tried everything to save the car. and i work in an auto repair shop w/ access to the body shop next door. yes it can be fixed but if the frame is bent or tweaked the car will never be right. salvage what you can, save every part on that car that you can and start over. would u fix it? Reply #44 – February 13, 2008, 03:38:24 PM it looks like its bent!! does the passenger side door open ok? is the car sitting perfect on all four wheels? look under it on the frame rails for an visible damage. Its your car, but its NOT gonna ever be the same cause thats a HARD hit, and you messed up a LARGE section of the car Quote Selected
