MAF Part# Cross Reference.

I've been looking for this chart for 2 years!  I found it once before and lost the link.  HERE!

Very nice find
Now we have to put that next to 5.0 interchange list and make it sticky.

Hey that's great... Thanks... Unfortunately it proves a 5.0 Stang MAF is incorrect for my '95 Tbird... Guess I have to find the correct one...

I noticed there are different meters listed for the '92 Grand Marquis depending on whether it has a AOD or AODE transmission... Last time I checked at Advance, their system had no idea there were AODs used in the early versions... Wonder what the chance is of some poor schmuck getting the correct meter????

Anybody notice the part no's start with AFH55 or AFH70, etc??? Guessing that's the size of the meter??? A Cobra Stang uses AFH80...

Which Stang meter are you using?

The 96? yes, what size injectors did they come with?  24, correct?

I have a '91(Pt no), MAF on it, has CEL & getting rich code... The Bird MAF is externally identical to the early Stang units, but internally look same as the one Dog Charmer posted...

List shows the v6 used same meter in '94 & '95, shouldn't be too hard to locate one... Need to get rid of the CEL, want to sell it...

The Bird one should be a 70 mm housing unit stock IIRC...The chart agrees with me so I will assume I'm correct....People have swapped the 55 mm electronics into 70 mm housings without issue....Eric comes to mind.  That's been done with EEC-IV computers though and the Bird of course is an EEC-V.  Are you using the ENTIRE mustang unit?  Housing and electronics?  The EV-6 style injectors withthat meter may be an issue as well.  They are said to flow around 21lb/hr and not 19.....

Yup, as I stated the Bird MAF is externally identical to the stang, so I swapped the whole shebangs... Orig Bird unit took a dump and it was barely drivable... Idled under 500 rpms and all but stalled anytime you tried to accelerate from a stop... CEL went out a couple days after I swapped meters(didn't try to turn it off) then came back on a day or two after that... Maybe this one is bad too??? Has always seemed to have a very slight off idle stumble with the one that's on it now, never a problem with the orig...

I'll have to dig around to see what I have... Think the only one similar is from a '95/'96 E150 6cyl van with a 4.9L(was a EEC V)... It has the same housing as the Grand Marquis and ran fine on it, but the plug is shaped differently... Had to do some creative engineering to use it and not cut the original harness on the Merc... Later I found the orig meter was just dirty so I swapped them back...

I used a Super Coupe MAF meter with my 1992 Mustang MAF electronics. Cut out the center vane like in the other thread. The car idles...well...it idles. :) The SC topper had the different plug as well. Must have been a 1990s thing for that.

I'm taking the plunge and buying a new MAF meter this year. Will be interesting to see how the idle is after that.

Well I picked up one today from the U-Pull-It, $25... Cleaned it(was very dirty, but the only one I could find), seems to run fine, Hopefully the CEL won't come back on...

BTW the '96 meter appears to be same(found one of those as well), but has the more rectangular plug instead of oval...
