Turns out only ONE of the cars has a Supercharger, the KR hood used on the 'Attack' version is a fake too. Power Car" and the next shot shows it getting a mega burn out. On this side of the screen we never know the differance. This stuff happens all the time even with people... It was swoopy, it was sleek, and part of the charm was that people in the show had NO idea what the car was...so there was a built-in stealth factor. The Mustang is just too recognizable. And it's not like we needed yet another version of the Mustang, fercrissake. SS Impalas got a 283 then 307, XL Galaxies also got 289/302s All Torino GTs had V8 std... Road Runners got a 4bbl 383 as the base engine... Ford countered with the Fairlane Cobra with 428CJ and 4 speed std...In '70 The Cobra was upped to Torino status with three different 429s available, a grandma Tbird/LTD version as base, CJ and Super CJs as optional...
