Jeez it was cold yesterday! January 28, 2008, 03:58:59 PM Tested out a new computertune on the Mustang. Woke it up HUGE. Still needs fine tuning. Had an issue with a lean code (popped up after shutdown & restart)so it's back to the tune I had before. Before it threw the code it was noticeably faster though. Updated tune should be setup by the end of the week. Next weekend is more testing time. Some pics... Quote Selected
Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #1 – January 28, 2008, 04:40:09 PM sweet paul. how are you liking the 400 ish rwhp mark? how does it feel? think you will be happy with that? im shooting for between 400-450 rwhp. i drove an 01 procharged cobra that was tuned right about there. im hoping that will be enough to keep me happy. it was alot of fun. Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #3 – January 28, 2008, 05:24:35 PM thought it was a stick! i love the clean, subtle look of that car. the 3 valve cars are realy growing on me. my car needs a tune. bad. im trying to get a few things together too take advantage of the dyno tune. it needs gears bad as well. the T56 isnt the right tranny for a NA car at all.... midpipe, intake. god willing a procharger but with the new mortgage its much tougher to justify this stuff. Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #4 – January 28, 2008, 05:32:40 PM With the new tune I'm shooting for 12.2's with the stock gears and tires....I'd find a 03-04 Cobra setup for your car. I let one slip by for $1500 COMPLETE -- blower, intercooler, piping, injectors, pump -- Everything!!It's on my list for the Cougar.....need a way to mount it though... Quote Selected
Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #5 – January 28, 2008, 05:43:06 PM ... yeah. that would be sweet but, it would be easier to just throw a P1SC on and call it good. i still want to keep the shaker too. not looking for anything earth shattering. just want to keep up with the joneses. i imagine it wouldnt be all that hard to machine some sort of plate to make that work. maybe even a carb lower intake with some injectors machined in or something. it would be cool thats for sure. Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #6 – January 28, 2008, 05:53:41 PM I have to admit that is one of the very, very few S197's I like. I love how clean and understated it is. Very nice.12.2's on the street tires is what, 11.7's on some ET Streets? Quote Selected
Jeez it was cold yesterday! Reply #7 – January 28, 2008, 05:57:18 PM I figure 11.9's Believe it or not you can actually get a 1.8X 60 foot with the stock S197 tires. Takes some practice.... Quote Selected
