First Post - My T-Bird

I've been lurking forever and PMing back and forth with one of the members about his SN-95 brake swap.  He said I should post pics of my car, so here it is (I only have one pic, but I'll take more as I go). Sorry about the quality.  It's a scan.  Next time I have the car out I'll snap something better.

It's an '83 with 60,000 original miles.  It has a Lentech AOD and an 8.8 from a Fox Mustang with 3.73s, an Auburn posi and Hotchkis control arms.  Right now it's on Eibach Pro Kit coils, but I'm going to all coilovers when I do the disc brake swap.

At present it's still got the killer 153 horse CFI 302, but a 331 will be in the works shortly.  I wanted to get the whole driveline/suspension/brake thing done first.  Anyway, this is it...

Welcome! That's an ultra nice 83 you've got there. I think you're making the right decision doing the engine last. You'll be happier being able to put the power down on the ground.

It still amazes me the amount of people that put high HP engines in cars with stock auto trannys and peg leg rear ends with 2.73 gears... and then wonder why their 400 HP combo will only run high 14's.

Don't think I am smart enough to do the motor last without screwing up a few times first.  My last really modified car was a '88 Mustang GT.  I bought it new and dove right into the motor without beefing anything else up first.  I broke a lot of parts.  Before I finally sold it, when I would launch it on slicks the sunroof and glovebox door would fly open.  I'm not making that mistake again.

They're 16" Weld Billet Wheels, but I don't remember the model name.  When I do the SN-95 brake swap, they'll be coming off.
