Vacuum Distribution Block January 26, 2008, 09:57:14 AM Does anyone know if they sell the vacuum distribution block for an 88Cougar XR-7. I think that is what it is called. Mounted on the fire wall on the drivers side. One of the hoses broke off. The plastic nipple is cracked and broke off. Do I need to get this from a junk yard or do they make them new? I can't seem to find one searching online stores. Quote Selected

Vacuum Distribution Block Reply #2 – January 26, 2008, 02:18:08 PM I would think that part is common on many Ford vehicles... Can anyone confirm? Quote Selected
Vacuum Distribution Block Reply #3 – January 26, 2008, 02:56:09 PM Thanks, but I just bought a couple standard vacuum tees and connected all the hoses together. I'd prefer for it to look factory but I'll let you keep that part as a spare Vinnie. What happened was my brake pedal froze up while driving. I couldn't press the pedal and the reason was that the main suction line going into that vacuum manifold was leaking and then completely broke off. I didn't realize how serious a vacuum leak could be, but fortunately I was just down the street from my house when I lost my brakes. Quote Selected

Vacuum Distribution Block Reply #5 – January 26, 2008, 09:32:38 PM eh. I just drove around with "manual" brakes for a couple weeks. Wouldn't have fixed it if I wouldn't have been bending the brake pedal. I think someone should build an all metal or at least higher quality plastic vacuum tee thingy... Quote Selected
