I think if anything bad happened to anyone on this board everyone would be very saddened by it, it would be a very big loss.

Hmm maybe I need to make it clear to those around me if anything happens to ME they must put my cat for sale on here. Yes, in effect I am saying, if I die, YES fine one of you guys can "have my stereo".

If you want to see how people of this board respond to a member's death, look up Jessie Green.
Everyone was affected by his death, and we only met him once, and he wasn't even a member of this board per say. He came to Cat Jam in 2006 where we all met him for the first time. He had never posted on the board. However, a month later he was killed in a serious accident. Everyone here was taken aback by it.
His family was sent flowers and cards. His car was featured on the Cat Jam t-shirts for 2007, in memory of him.

Please don't think for one second that the people of this board aren't of value, or thought of as friends. This is a tight group for the most part, and I hope that never changes.

yeah, i agree... I'm kind of an old school religious beliefs person and feel that acting on gay feelings or whatever isn't a good thing but come on! Are you really that insecure with your shaguality that you have to bash gay people? We all have things that people don't like about us, but they don't bash us for it... idk, its the 21st century and this is not going to go back into hiding anytime soon. get over it.

Anyway, it's a shame about the death. He was a good actor and out of any chick flicks I was dragged to he was usually in the ones that were bearable! RIP

2. I have issues because I don't approve of homoshaguality? I'm not going to go out of my way to be politically correct. Nobody complained about the Brokeback jokes when he was alive. Is a dead person off limits? Who can really say? Ever heard a joke about Jesus?

3. I'm genuinely sorry if I offended anyone, but this is a free country. I can say what I want, you can hear what you want. But you had to expect someone to bring this up when his most popular work was as a homoshagual.

I want to have faith in people, but then they buttstuffyze everything and complain if it's not how they see it.

1. I didn't get the joke. He had it coming because he played a Gay man in a movie? Where's the punch line? His co-star is next? Hahahah* WTF, man?

2. I never laughed when he was alive, because it was just as ignorant then as it is now. Hate is never funny, and bigotry fits in there.

3. You're not genuinely sorry. You could give a shiznit. Read the rest of your post and tell me you're sorry. And who the hell cares if his character was Gay? Does that affect your life somehow? Homophobes bother me because they think it's their right to dictate how a person lives their life, even if they're not causing anyone harm or if they will never cross paths.

I'll continue to call people out if I think they're out of line. At the very least, live by one of the oldest laws we have as humans. Speak fondly of the dead.

man, I guess this was my fault for posting the first joke about it... it was just that, a joke.... I have no issues with anybody's shagual preferance... hell I have a buddy that is gay... doesn't bother me a bit... he knows not to hit on me and we will get along fine... mainly because he is strsight acting, I would have never known he was even gay, if my GF didn't tell me about it later....

RIP Heath, I thought you were a hell of an actor... definatley had talent if he could pretend to be gay for a movie....

I remeber him in "10 things i hate about you"....i remember when he was singing "Can`t take my eyes off of you" and since then is one of my favorite songs. Rest in Peace Heath.....

yeah okay!! its called acting huh? it was just his character in the movie huh? IT DOES NOT MATTER!! People UNFORTUNATLY look up to hollywood and anything that goes on there! They seen a big movie like that come out and it was as if it was all okay now becasue hollywood was doing it!
I do not and will not have to accepct this!! I dont care what time period it is!! I do not associate, nor condone this act in any way shape or form!! I will tell that to their face how I feel about it, and NO I dont feel sorry about it!! i was otld at a very young age that if I ever came home that way, my dad was going to take care of me!! I feel the same way about it if I ever had kids!! That is sick twisted and NOT NATURAL, and I feel sorry for each and every person that is accepting it and saying its okay becasue of the period in time or its their choice!! I am PERFECTLY secure in my shaguality, that is a poor comeback! I am very old fashion in my beliefs, and there is no way no how this can be tolerated or accepted in my eyes!! Its sick, twisted, and something that does not have to be tolerated!! society is going to hell in a handbasket!!

This whole gay rant thing of mine has nothign to do with his death. I siad in my first post that it was sad to see somebody that you die. I am sure his family is takign it ruff!! I just had a VERY CLOSE family member die yesterday from cancer. No death is easy, but people sure do have to live with the things they associated theirselves with.
