New Stance... but only temporary... Reply #3 – January 21, 2008, 08:16:21 PM lol, no... they aren't, but thanks. I've had them for about 7 years now. The car is going into the booth to get a new coat of BLACK within the next 2-3 months (depending on how long the body work takes) and then the new wheels. I'm hoping no one buys them before me!! :D Quote Selected

New Stance... but only temporary... Reply #6 – January 22, 2008, 06:29:12 PM yeah, actually it's really nice, all new within 4 years (except the roof). But someone keyed my hood and a few other things need fixing: right rear corner got clipped by a gooseneck trailer, couple touches of rust showing on the rear fender lip, doors a little rusty on the bottom edge... gonna fix it all up and paint it black like I always wanted. New Stance... but only temporary... Reply #8 – January 23, 2008, 11:01:46 AM hahaha, I think so! That was the first time I had to park outside... the second time was a couple weeks ago, and that time some jagoffs tried to steal my wheels (that's when I lost one on the freeway)! I really think I need a high voltage security system to zap those punks when they touch my ride... but with my luck some little girl at the grocery store would trip and touch my car and get her face burned off little girl--> :flame: <--thunderbird Quote Selected

Can't tell it has a nice little rake in the pic, but it's sweet!OK, how do you keep the 255/40/17's from hitting the fender with that little clearance? I have 245/45/17's in the front on 17x9's (6 in. BS) and I could barely drive it with more clearance than you have. I have 600#/in springs in the front BTW. Quote Selected

But to answer you question: Fox a-arms... but only in combination with SN spindles/brakes. I actually want to get my front wheel OUT another 1/8 - 1/4". Do you have fox brakes on your ride now? Do you have fox brakes on your ride now?I have the opposite arrangement. 2k03 A-arms and Fox spindles and 11" brakes. You can kinda see from the pic that the tire is about flush with the fender lip. Watch out what you wish for, I'm hitting a lot and I have some height above the tire! My BS is spec'd at 6" even, not that it matters much :D Quote Selected
New Stance... but only temporary... Reply #14 – January 23, 2008, 09:25:48 PM What is the offset of you wheels? I seem to remember having fox brakes when I first got Cobra R's (255/40/17's then too) and I think I had plenty of clearance. I think it may have been even lower at that time...? Quote Selected
