two of my good friends saw it and said it sucked. They walked out on it and we watched red line and torque the whole way through in the dollar movies...

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

This movie is dependent on what you tastes of movies are. If you liked the blair witch project then you will probably like.

I have seen about 10 minutes of it and don't wanna see it. The hype was way more than the movie can produce. Though it has sold out a couple times in town here.

BTW I work at a movie theater.

I loved the movie.  Most of the complaints people are having is that it reminds them of 9/11 (please...just let it go people...it's over...movies about destruction in NYC are going to be made for years to come), and that the movie doesnt provide some answers that people want (the movie encompasses 7 hours...nowhere near enough time to realistically get answers).  People just dont understand the premise of the movie.  I did and I loved it.

Saw it and liked it until the end. It was freaky, and there were a few slow parts, but overall it was ok. Not worth a second watch in theatres, but definetly could have waited to rent it instead of going to the theatre.

I liked it. I was on the edge of my seat once the fit hit the shan.
Most reaction has been love it or hate it.

I would describe it as Blair Witch + Godzilla. However, I thought Blair Witch was a steaming pile of  who's characters made such poor decisions that I was hoping they would all die painful deaths.

Although I couldn't really identify with the protagonists of Cloverfield, their plight was compellng enough that it sucked me in.

PS Pay close attention to the background of the final scene. I missed it myself.

yeh the fact that it leave you hanging a the end was why i've been hearing bad reviews.  they say if its going to have a sequel to answer some of the questions it was worth seeing it, but as it sits now its not worth the theaters, only a rent.  i dont rent or go see things in theaters, i wait for dvd's so hopefully a sequel will be announced, and if so, i'd get the dvd.
