Good to know. It was advertised as a manual transmission ecu from the seller. I have an auto, so it's just a peace of mind to have the right stuffz :hick:
One step closer to running...

The only issue I found when putting in my DA1 computer is that (and mainly in 50 degree-ish temps and up, not really in the deep cold) it will run for maybe 5 seconds at about 1k rpm, start slowing down, and die. Crank it up agai and it's fine. If I catch it and goose the throttle a little as it's dying, and keep it running, then it's fine. Also, somtimes on a warm (i think) start, it will hunt between 600/almost dying, and 1200 rpm probably 5 times, getting better each time, and settling in at a perfect 800. Yyyeah. :hick:

Somewhere I read since it's a 5spd computer, it doesnt have the idle step-up for putting the car in Drive or Reverse, to keep it running under the hydraulic load. Perhaps this has something to do with it.

A little annoying but I'd say at least half the time it's fine. I don't mind, I wanted the better sensor response and timing curves or whatever the stang 5spd computer offers. Every little bit helps! :hick:

(and it IS the computer, least I think, because it was 100% perfect with the VM1 if I recall correctly, that I first had, which is from a Mark VII)

I CANT WAIT to see your car all painted up vinnie. It really is a hot setup and it will only be oh-so-hotter when it's all done. E303 cam? Niiiice. I GOTTA have a cammed-out ride with that lopey idle....someday....grrr! And it doesn't matter what the car is but it will be another one. Can't do it to this one, if I had stock lers on it, it would sound factory correct. :hick:
