this one IS perfect....  even the same colour interior as my '85 Cougar....  should be able to finish the restoration with parts from it... ;)

If you cut that up I will have to come up to Canada and hurt you:beatyoass:  ;)

LMAO!!!!  about  time you guys caught that!!!  lol, NO I WONT be chopping this one OR daily driving it for that matter....  strictly a nice weather car and to take to cruise-ins...  and drag strip runs....

LOL, chris this one will NEVER leave my ownership....actually that is where I got it... kijiji....  I think the E-man knows about the sentimental memories a similar car to your first, can do for you....  this thing has the exact same interior as my '85...  minus a few options...

yeah I got $3800 for her....  am going to miss it, but this one should make getting over it easier....

hey guys, just got back from putting the down payment on it....  I have never seen one in this good of shape around here...  I was litterally speachless....  with a few weeks of cleanning and detailing it should be the same as Rics... I couldn't find any rust anywheres  these things are known to rust...  one tiny spot starting in the bottom of the door from the looks of it..  what a steal I got... LOL.

The pics I took today are here:

What's up with the engine bay? It looks like the inner fenders and fire wall are rusty as hell :hick:

It could be some sort of rust preventer though. Really, really, old rust preventer ;)

its undercoating from 1986...  he had it done when he bought it and has stored it in the garage all its life....  Said  " dunno why I did that, I never intended to ever winter drive it to begin with"

First thing I will do is put my ten holes on it, then headers, 2.5" off road h-pipe and flowmasters...

Then strip the motor and tranny and clean and detail the engine bay....  Man I have had MANY sleepless nights thining about this car...  LOL

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
