its actually realy easy. clutch pedals are more irritating than hard to put in and thats the worst part. rest is a cake walk.

OK well that makes no sense.  Is it an 87-88 TC rear end that was swapped into an XR-7, or are you trying to assume that an 87-88 XR-7 would have the same rear axle as an 87-88TC?

If it's the first, how are we supposed to know what gears are in the rear end? We don't know what the trans was in the TC donor.

If it's the second, well your supposition is incorrect.

84-86 XR-7's are 2.3 turbos with 7.5 rear axles with 3.45 gears with drum brakes.

The 87-88 XR-7's were 5.0's.  Only the late '88 XR-7's had 8.8's.  Gearing was for a 5.0, so you never saw a 3.73 stock.  All 87-88 XR-7's also have drum brakes 7.5 or 8.8.

You have to specify what year "TC" you're talking about (and what year XR-7 for that matter).  It's not like they were all the same from 83-88.

If it matters, the 87/88 TCs are 8.8" and come standard with disc brakes (vented rotors) and a Traction-Lok. The 5-speed 87/88 TCs came with 3.55s and the auto 87/88 TCs came with 3.73s. Prices for these rears are all over the place.
