Grade 8 should be fine for the tranny crossmember. Just a bolt and nuts. Maybe a couple of lock washers or just lock nuts. The factory bolts have a champfered end like the motor mount bolts, but a regular bolt will work just fine.

got the crossmember installed today....had to order brake pads for the rear.....Apparently you can't just go into the store, and buy a set of brake pads for a 24 year old car... lol. Hope to finish the brakes and lines tomorrow. Then onto the headers and exhaust...

brakes are all done ...Brake lines are finished.. need to bleed the lines....
Headers are bolted on.. H-pipe is next on the install....

Wow......that's good progress. I'm at a standstill til the radiator gets here. I want to see pics of the headers installed. Those were nice pieces.

I would have bled the brakes, but now I see I have a stubborn bleeder on the front Pass side. amazing how this stuff seizes up even after you have things working...(2 years ago)  lol
I'll finish the rest of the underneath work before I get to the front caliper. I only have 2 jack stands, and they're in use in the back of the car right now.
