The area where the strap fastens to the bracket isn't on yet.
I have an idea about that, and I'm going to wait until I put the tank up to make sure they're in the correct place on the bracket.

Installing the rear should be the next project. The springs are on the way. Of course I have to put another coat of paint under there first.


Is it possible to make the passenger side tank bracket smaller (ie like the driver's side bracket)? The reason I ask is because a 2.5" diameter tail pipe is a tough fit around the stock bracket. Ask me how I know :hick:

That *may* be ok then. Being that the passenger side bracket is wider I had to put a 3/8" dimple in the top of the exhaust pipe. I'm trying to remember where the tank strap bolts on the bracket. The last time I messed with the tank was almost 2 years ago when I changed the fuel pump and I did the exhaust last year. I may have to crawl under the car and take a look for you. It may also depend on what brand of tail pipes you get. I used 2.5" mandral bent tail pipes from Dynomax because, well, they were the cheapest ones I could get :hick:

Oh and since you're putting a 5.0 HO in the car you did remember to get a new (at least 110 lph) fuel pump for it right?
