autolamp option ?

according to the 88 cougar brochure autolamp was standard
on the XR7. mine doesnt have it. was there a running change
or wasnt it standard equipment? thanks for any help.

There were a lot of things that were supposed to be standard on the '88 XR7 (cornering lamps, auto lamp) that ended up being part of the 266A special options package, or individually ordered. The brochures are wrong, and even the dealer order book has been wrong in places. I've got a semi-reliable list of options and standard equipment here:

my car doesnt have----autolamp-h/l dimmer-keyless entry,
and moonroof. it does have cornering lamps,premium sound
w/equalizer,power antenna.no leather. the lady bought it in holland,
mich. it must have been dealer traded from a dealer in northern
indiana according to the window sticker. was never driven in winter.
no rust, but to bad the black wasnt clearcoat in 88.
