online place to buy 5.0HO?

anyone got any good links where to find a good 5.0ho with everything i need for the swap.....no good local junkyards or good availability of a 5.0ho with low miles and not a lemon motor.......

If you have a 5.0 already,just do the H.O upgrade (cam,headers,intake),if you have a 3.8,and want to swap,you can buy a used 5.0 from anything for cheap and build it up for minimal cost.Ebay always has H.O engines on there for bidding.Good luck.

cant do that because the ammount of down time the car will have.....
id rather have motor outside of car for alittle while to save get some upgrades i might want to do before engine is inside of car.....

Consider something like a Jasper motor? Yeah, they aren't as cheap as a good used replacement but it is all reconditioned and what not and has a warrenty. Plus they can do performance mods to your specs.

I go with a reputable local machiene shop over Jasper. Most of the time you'll get a better quality product.

there's a junk yard here in utah that has a 5.0 HO in a 91 cougar LS. obviously not original. i could pull all the parts you want and ship them to you if you want. or the whole motor. obviously very pricy.

Find you a 460??? its not cheap but at least someone makes headers and motor mounts. Scrool down to the bottom of the page.

it is a 5.0 HO and i had no idea that they would've put one in an LS.

5.0 HO was an option in 91-93 Cougars, regardless of LS or XR7.  LS and XR7 were basically trim levels.

Nope.  91-93 had an optional 5.0 HO.  94-97 had no 5.0.  They ran with an optional SOHC 4.6.

aw , youre right, i knew that but my brain farted. my point being, 5.0 HO was in option in cougars, just select years
