Put 30 Miles on New Motor Today ! Update 700 more

Well I took my TC in and got it all legal like with the State inspection.
Then I drive it like I stole it (should I be doing that on a brand new motor ?).

I must say it runs really sweet, and the Forge BOV is ridiculous, I mean I didnt know they were that loud. Anyway the neighborhood kids have been watching me build this car for 2 years and of course they all showed up when I rolled back in tonight.

They all wanted rides you know.... kids. Since I had the eec and wires all over the floor I didnt give any rides but I did give a show.

They wanted to hear the blow off valve, so they aimed their phones and recorded me going thru 2nd standing still in front of my house....whoops. I am such a bad example. Plus it was dark and you couldnt see anything, all you could do was hear me burning thru 2nd, and no BOV sound cause the exhaust and tires were too loud :)

I'm a firm believer in breaking in a motor like you're going to drive it.  Break her in good!  Congrats on the big day!  Change your oil at 500 miles and you'll be good.

Well, today I hit over 700 miles and I have raised the boost to 20 PSI.  this thing runs good, but I was working on a couple of issues that have developed since I started to run her.

LEAKS !!!!!

I cant believe all the stupid coolant lines on this thing, and just about every connection was seeping. So I went about tightening and sealling all of the coolant leaks. Then to the oil leaks, the search was on. Had to drop the starter and replace the gasket on the return from the Turbo, put an O- ring on the Dipstick tube. And had to tighten down the VC bolts of which 2 were completely loose ???

After all that, I go to put everything back together and drop the starter cable bolt into the bell housing. That was fun, since my hand wouldnt fit. Luckily I was able to go fishing with a telescoping magnet and was able to retreive that.

So now I think I am ready to run it some more to see what else develops.
