Taurus hvac swap

I have the auto climate control setup, will the electric style taurus
hvac control swap over?

Only way to be sure is to check the plugs at the back, but I'm thinking it's different.

It may be possible to swap that over to 1994-97 Cougar/T-Bird style ATC, with a rotary  on the left and push buttons for the selectors and digital display....but I've never tried it.
