Restoring 83 Cougar (Tips, experiences) Reply #15 – October 26, 2007, 12:06:09 AM Quote from: fordman3;184555LJS30,I don't know how close we are geographically, but I've got an entire front cap minus hood from an '86 XR7. It's even got the foglight cutouts. Colors' not exact, but it is a dark red, and you're going to repaint anyway. I've also got several odd and end red interior parts if you are looking for any. Just thought you might be interested. On the other hand, again if we aren't too far apart from each other, if you change your mind and decide to let the car go, I'd be interested. Just a thought.Fordman3Well I think my mom is happy with the front cap it has currently. However, let me see what interior parts we may need. I live in Riverside, CA, so that gives you an idea where I am at. Quote Selected

Restoring 83 Cougar (Tips, experiences) Reply #18 – October 26, 2007, 08:50:31 AM when i stared to restore my 84 i set out to give it what i think the car should have as an option, the v-8 4 bbl carb. option. with all the creature comforts too. i pulled out every wire and hoses and lines. detailed the underside . (you can see your face in the trans tunnel) really it is up to you as what you want, how you want the car to represnt it self. remember to us these are great cars, to everyone else, their just t-birds and cougars...blah, blah, blah...take your time and enjoy it.
