what tranny part is this?

I found this in the pan when I changed the tranny pan gasket on my 93 Buick. Any idea as to what it is? The tranny is a THM 4T60.

That is a very old man's fingernail.  I thought I told you to stop letting those old people around your car.

Looks like part of a gasket, or like a c-clip or something of that nature.

All I know is it's made of hard plastic (fairly brittle I might add)  and it looks to be part of some *O* shaped thing. It's scuffed and looks like it went through something to get to the bottom of the pan:hick:

Yeah, I can't tell really from the pictures, but if it is round and somewhat small, I'd say a thrust washer as well. They are different colors.

It's about 3 inches long. I'm just hoping I don't fry my tranny with what ever that thing is missing :hick:
